From Sacramento take I80 East to Auburn's Grass Valley exit and go back under the freeway.
Continue through Grass Valley and Nevada City following signs for Truckee and Reno.
for about 12 miles or a couple of hundred yards past the first scenic overlook.
Turn left at Washington Rd. and follow it about 6 miles to the Washington Hotel and Cafe.
