Highlighted by beautiful
lilies the plant-draped rock walls of the garden are reminiscent of the carins built by the Chinese while searching for placer gold in the mid 1800's.

Garden Terraces
working
their way across the back of the hotel while a
native-slate-paved garden path winds its way along a scenic
drop to the river below.
Handrails along the path formed of rust stained iron rails once used to guide gold laden ore carts through local mines.

Travelers along the way may observe many wonders such as small plants protected by secluded pockets of stone or wroght benches positioned just right for wanderers
to repose while pondering the
wild South Yuba river's
display of majestic beauty
