Remember the third annual Sweetheart's Ball at the hotel back on February 15?..... I wasn't able to attend but Dale brought home dinner for us courtesy of Chef Wil, with ambiance a la the Herron Hovel.
        Wil's culinary creations weren't going to get any help from a romantic, serene atmosphere in my house.  Instead of Tom Jones crooning ballads I had Coral singing along with Spongebob Squarepants on TV.  No candlelight--just 1 60 watt bulb in the ceiling fixture (the other one had blown out).
        Fine linens were a plastic tablecloth and paper napkins.  I used an old Melmac plate and a fork with a bent tine.  How was it?   Oh, my, my.
Dear friend, if something truly momentous has happened in your life and you want to celebrate with a never-to-be-forgotten feast then you really need to call the hotel (530) 265-4364 or the kitchen at (530)265-1990 and work something out with Chef Wil Chambers
